LEWICE

LEWICE is a computer code which calculates the ice accretion that occurs when supercooled droplets impinge on a body. The code evaluates the water droplet impingement and subsequent thermodynamics of the freezing process to predict the ice shape. Both atmospheric parameters (i.e., temperature, pressure, and velocity) and meteorological parameters (i.e., liquid water content, droplet diameter, and relative humidity) are used to determine the shape of the ice accretion.

The computer code is available from the NASA software repository: https://software.nasa.gov/software/LEW-18573-1
